You can choose to accelerate your studies over 1.5 years or study full-time over two years. If you choose the accelerated option you will be able to apply for registration six months earlier than graduates from other universities.
Entry Requirements

Applicants will need a completed Bachelor degree (or equivalent) that does not lead to teacher registration (with a minimum GPA of 4.0 on a 7-point scale) with disciplinary strengths in two distinctive teaching areas.

Applicants must also complete non-academic entry requirements to be eligible for this program.

You can explore the key learning areas further on the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority website. Applicants must have completed a quarter of their degree (a minimum of six subjects) in their first nominated teaching area. The second teaching area must include a minimum of another six courses for senior secondary or four courses for junior secondary.

Note: Successful completion of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) is not an entry requirement for this program. However, if you have achieved a 'satisfactory' result for one or more component of the Literacy and Numeracy Test for Initial Teacher Education (LANTITE) at another institution, the 'satisfactory' result can be carried across with your program application. You are not eligible to apply for a place in the program if one or more component of LANTITE remains at 'unsatisfactory' after two test attempts for that component. Griffith University does not support reset of LANTITE test attempts.

To be eligible for admission to the Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning, a student must:

  • hold a Bachelor degree from a recognised University (or another tertiary education institution of equivalent standing). Planning related Bachelor degrees will be assessed by the Program Director to determine whether the degree is appropriate for admission
  • OR have a minimum of five years equivalent full-time relevant work experience.

Students who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Urban and Environmental Planning with a minimum grade point average of 4.5 will be eligible for admission to the Master of Urban and Environmental Planning. These students will be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing.

This program builds on the strong science foundation that students developed in their undergraduate science or health science degree to provide advanced studies in pharmaceutical science, professional and clinical pharmacy practice and pharmacy research.
Entry Requirements

Applicants are eligible for admission into the Master of Pharmacy subject to meeting the following criteria:

  • completed an eligible science or health science Bachelor degree within the past 10 years;
  • achieved an overall GPA greater than or equal to 5.0 (on a 7.0 point scale) in the last 18 months of undergraduate study;
  • meet all of the following essential prerequisites at a tertiary level with a minimum level of Pass:
    • Biochemistry: One trimester duration or equivalent
    • Chemistry: Two trimesters duration or equivalent
    • Pharmacology: One trimester duration or equivalent
    • Physiology: One trimester duration or equivalent
    • Statistics or Maths: One trimester duration or equivalent

Where a student has not met the pharmacology prerequisite from their prior studies, they may enrol in 2018PHM Pharmacology which is offered in all three trimesters, with an intensive mode in Trimester 3 of each year.

Entry Requirements

To be eligible for admission to the Master of Screen Production undertaking a major in Advanced Screen Production, applicants must have:

  • a Bachelor degree in Screen Production (or equivalent) or a Graduate Certificate in Screen Production (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution - these students may be eligible for 40 credit points of advanced standing
  • OR a Bachelor Honours degree in Screen Production (or equivalent) or a Graduate Diploma of Screen Production (or equivalent) or from a recognised tertiary institution - these students may be eligible for 80 credit points of advanced standing
  • OR have a combination of alternative admission criteria such as formal, informal and non-formal learning deemed to be equivalent to either of the above - these students may be eligible for 10 to 80 credit points of advanced standing

AND a portfolio of professional work which may include documented professional experience or other evidence indicating the applicant's capacity to undertake and benefit from the program. Examples may include scripts (5-10 pages), short films (10-15 minutes), photographs (10 images) or other artworks you wish to showcase, or any combination of the above. You should include a list outlining your contribution or role for each submitted artwork.

AND provide a brief personal statement of 2-3 paragraphs outlining:

  • Why you want to study a Master of Screen Production at Griffith Film School
  • A description of your background and any experience in creative arts including screen production
