COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement The COVID-19 vaccination is mandatory to be eligible to attend a WIL placement for this course. Students will be required to provide evidence of having completed a COVID-19 vaccination schedule by the closing date prior to a WIL placement. The vaccine received must be a vaccine approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) of Australia.

Entry Requirements

• A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
• Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full time with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

• An International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic) with an overall band score of at least 6.5 with no sub-score below 6.0 in each subset, or
• A Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL - internet based) with an overall score of at least 79 or better overall and no sub-score less that 21; or
• A Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic) with an overall band score of 62 with no sub-score less than 54, or
• An Occupational English Test with Grades A or B only in each of the four components

Security RequirementsCourse years 2 - 4 include periods of clinical placement. Students must satisfy specific pre-clinical safety and security requirements prior to each placement and must disclose any condition that may put himself or herself, or the public, at significant risk whilst on placement. Students are required to meet all mandatory requirements to attend Clinical Placements and Clinical placements are a requirement for the award of the Degree. A student may be determined ineligible for placement based on the inability to perform required tasks or if the student may be determined a risk to clients, staff or other stakeholders. A student may be determined ineligible for placement if the placement site is unable to work within the constraints of any conditions or work modifications placed upon the work site by the State Health Department or Assessment Unit within a private organisation. If conditions imposed upon the placement are too restrictive for placement sites within the current offer round, the student is determined not fit for placement and is at risk of the University terminating enrolment in the degree. • Graduate Certificate of Asset and Maintenance Management; OR
• an Associate Diploma or Degree in engineering, technology or applied science with either:-
  • minimum 12 months relevant asset/ maintenance management experience OR
  • minimum 3 years relevant experience in maintenance engineering

Applicants must have completed an Australian Psychology Accreditation Council (APAC)-accredited sequence in Psychology within the last 10 years (e.g., four-year, or three-year plus a fourth year), and be eligible for registration with the Psychology Board of Australia as a provisional psychologist. Applicants who completed their Psychology training outside of Australia are required to provide evidence of equivalency as determined by the Australian Psychological Society.

To be considered for admission, applicants are required to supply:

1. Official academic transcript;

2. A current resume or curriculum vitae that includes employment, relevant experience, research experience and accomplishments;

3. A one page statement responding to the question "Why do you want to be a registered psychologist?" - Please use size 12 font, with 1.5 line spacing;

4. Two references supplied via Heads of Departments and Schools of Psychology Australia (HODSPA) Psychology Reference Portal.

Whilst not necessary to apply for entry, if you have already secured an internship post-graduation, please include evidence of this to further support your application.

Entry is competitive with limited places available, shortlisted applicants must attend an interview

(face-to-face or via teleconferencing) by a panel comprising at least two members of academic staff of the Discipline of Psychology, both of whom have qualifications equivalent to those required for general registration as a psychologist.

• A completed three year Bachelor of Engineering, or equivalent, with an aligned engineering major, from a recognised tertiary institution. Degrees completed without standard engineering majors (Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical) will be assessed for compatibility with the master's course on a case by case basis by the School.

English Language Proficiency Requirements

If you were not born in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa or United States of America, you are required to meet the English Language Proficiency requirements set by the University.

Applicants are required to provide evidence of completion within the last 5 years of:

• A secondary qualification (Year 11 and 12, or equivalent), or
• Bachelor level qualification study for a period of at least 2 years full-time with a minimum overall GPA 4.0

completed within Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom, South Africa, Ireland or United States of America, which will meet the English proficiency.

If you do not satisfy any of the above, you will need to undertake an English language proficiency test and achieve the following scores:

To be eligible for entry into this course, applicants must hold:

• A completed Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Certificate IV or Diploma from the Public Safety, Health or Police Training Package; with a minimum 3 years' experience within the emergency and disaster management field*; or
• A completed AQF equivalent Diploma in any discipline; with a minimum 3 years' experience within the emergency and disaster management field*; or
• A completed AQF equivalent Bachelor degree, in any discipline, or higher equivalent qualification; or
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within the emergency and disaster management field*

*Employment experience must be shown in a letter of employment which is presented on a company letterhead as well as signed and dated by a delegated authority.
