The culture is open and collaborative at Capgemini. You can drive your career; this means that you have support from your peers and managers. People are open for discussion and willing to collaborate to get the right outcome.

What is the Capgemini value that resonates with you, and why?

Trust, Team Spirit and Boldness.  Trust, for me, is the core value in everything I do. Especially as a solution architect, trust is essential for me to be able to propose a solution for the present challenges based on past experience and an unknown future.

In order to deliver the expected business outcome, I believe you need to have the team motivated and incorporate innovative ways to overcome any obstacles along the way. Boldness is about taking calculated risks with innovative solutions. Having the freedom to do this often leads to great innovation rather than sticking to the status quo.

What are you passionate about in your role?

I am passionate about customer success and using technology to help achieve this. I get that sense of achievement every time clients are happy about the solution to solve their problems.  Sometimes this means doing things outside the expectation of a solution architect, such as getting dirty with hands-on coding or help with managing/coordinating a release for a go-live.  I love being able to do whatever it takes to ensure clients are successful.

I am also quite passionate about the Salesforce platform and learning.  I am happy to be able to help others within Capgemini pursue their Salesforce learning.

What does a typical day look like for you, and what are you currently working on?

Depending on the projects, my typical day can change.  I am currently working as the Salesforce solution architect on a leading construction company, advising on how the Salesforce platform should be utilised as the global customer platform. I am helping the team in different areas, from solution design to project delivery governance.

Tell us about your work-life harmony at Capgemini?

Being able to work from home when I need to has certainly made me think less about the work-life balance and more about integrating both in my life.  I like the fact that I could be with my family whenever needed without overthinking about work.

How would you describe the culture at Capgemini?

The culture is open and collaborative at Capgemini.  You can drive your career; this means that you have support from your peers and managers.  People are open for discussion and willing to collaborate to get the right outcome.

What has been the most empowering moment in your Capgemini career journey?

I think that would be when people, both from clients and Capgemini, come to me for advice around Salesforce.  I feel that I have earned the trust from people within our practice, as well as some clients that I have worked with.  I am happy that I have added value and people feel the same way.

What have you gained from working at Capgemini from a career perspective?

I have been able to continue my Salesforce journey with Capgemini with more exposure to large enterprise projects.  I have also been able to learn more about the aviation, government and construction industries. This has helped shaped my experience as a Salesforce Solution Architect.

What are 3 words you’d use to describe Capgemini as an employer?

Supportive, Outcome-Driven, Collaborative

When did you realise you belong at Capgemini?

When I was engaged for my first project, which was the second day at Capgemini, the team that I was about to work with were very open and supportive.  I felt that I have been working with them for a while.  We collaborated well very soon, and that’s when I realised I was already part of the Capgemini team.
