About the role:
Our established and vibrant team is looking for a Graduate Electrical Engineer. This role is suitable for a qualified candidate to work on a diverse range of projects. The candidate will ideally have some experience in the design of Commercial Buildings projects and/or supporting infrastructure.
Day to day tasks would involve:
- Electrical design calculations and assessment
- 0-3 years experience working on a range of building services projects including retail, commercial office, residential, high rise, industrial, educational, and healthcare.
- Assist Senior and Project Engineers, along with the wider team, including other disciplines, if required
- Self-management skills will be as important as your technical design and project management abilities
- Prioritise workloads whilst ensuring our clients’ needs are met whilst maintaining strong and trusting working relationships with your colleagues both locally and across the international Stantec team.
- Build and develop your professional profile and expertise both internally and externally by consistently demonstrating an ability to successfully deliver projects.
- Maintain an appropriate level of service to Clients.
- Execute project design, documentation and contract administration services including regular project reviews
- Be accurate, diligent, and professional.
- Participate in meetings with clients and other consultants.
To be successful in this role you'll need:
- Electrical Engineering Degree, or on a structured pathway to securing
- Sound knowledge of relevant Australian Standards
- Ability to apply technical expertise in a way that balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and the morale of others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to use initiative and think outside the box
- Positive, can-do attitude
