ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

St Mary Star of the Sea College is Kindergarten to Year 12 composite single-stream school. It is well-resourced and has contemporary facilities for staff and students.

YOUR ROLE

You will join an inclusive and supportive team of primary school teachers, taking care of your own year level.

TRAINING, DEVELOPMENT AND ROTATIONS

• Weekly staff development and professional development (PD) days each term.
• Financially supported to attend PD in Perth.
• Opportunities to teach in varied year groups, including secondary school

SALARY AND BENEFITS

Remuneration is $70,878  per annum, with superannuation on top.

An attractive accommodation package is available- 10% of your salary, taken before tax (salary sacrifice).

The remote area package includes a weekly additional allowance for:

1. Location addition to wage
2. Electricity
3. AND a yearly financial incentive bonus ($2,500-$4,500)

Teachers in their beginning years at St Mary Star of the Sea College Carnarvon are eligible for reduction of HELP debt and waiver of indexation. This means that teachers who take up a position at St Mary’s will have their HELP debt partially or completely waived after 4 years of continuous service.
