Balanced with a strong internal emphasis on culture and values, we combine innovation with commercial savviness to deliver rewarding outcomes to all our clients.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Internship Program

We value diversity and inclusion in our workplace. We know that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are under-represented in the legal profession, and we want to change that. Our goal is to create a culture of belonging, where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander law students can pursue their career goals with confidence and support.

Through our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Internship Program, law students who identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander have the opportunity to work with and learn from our experienced lawyers while completing their law degree. It is expected that the program will commence in May 2024.

About the program

Key features of our program include:

  • Rotational Opportunities: you will have the opportunity to undertake rotations across different practice areas. This rotational structure will allow you to gain exposure to diverse legal disciplines, ensuring a well-rounded understanding of our legal offering.
  • Real-World Experience: work on stimulating assignments and contribute to real client matters, building your own portfolio of legal work and making a tangible impact.
  • Mentorship and guidance: benefit from the guidance of experienced lawyers who will provide invaluable guidance and support. Our lawyers are passionate about fostering talent and helping you succeed in your legal career.
  • Professional development: access a comprehensive range of professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and networking events, to continuously enhance your legal skills and knowledge.
  • Inclusive culture: we value teamwork, collaboration, and diversity. Benefit from connecting with colleagues through social, volunteering, sporting and other activities.
