5.15 AM

My alarm goes off and I get up, skull some pre work out get in the car and head to the gym.

6.45 AM

I come home and feed my cats before I quickly get ready to head to the office. Today is Friday so I get there a bit earlier so I can meet some of my fellow grads in the kitchen for the firm provided brekkie.

8.30 AM

I get to the office and dump my stuff at my desk before I quickly make my way to the kitchen to grab a mini bacon and egg roll. After a nice chat with my grads about our weekend plans, we head to our desks ready for our day to begin.

9.00 AM

I set up my laptop before I head into my principal's office, and we have a catch up for the day where he will assign me any work, he needs my assistance with. Today it is drafting a letter of advice for a client.

10.30 AM

I take a quick break and head to the kitchen for tea. I stop past one of the grads and we have a quick chat before I head back and continue working on my drafting task. This means a lot of my morning I will be navigating through Lexis Nexus and CCH Pinpoint to get some research, and then writing down what I learnt in the form of advice.

1.00 PM

Lunchtime! As its Friday I have been lazy and not bothered to pack my own lunch, so I head down into the MLC centre and buy a salad from soul origin and catch up with any of the grads that are free and based in MLC office today.

2.00 PM

– I head back to my desk and try and get through a bit more of this drafting task. Reviewing where I am, I quickly pop into the principal's office and ask a couple of questions just to clarify I am on the right track with my advice. With further clarification provided, I try and pump out as much as I can before I have my 3:30 meeting.

3.30 PM

I meet with a fellow grad so we can continue scripting our next Trial by Podcast Episode. Our script is due in a couple of days, so we meet to discuss our research on our topic and write our script. We get a rough draft done in half an hour so we can get back to finishing off our other work.

5.30 PM

I start making the final touches on my advice ready to proofread and print for the principal to review over the weekend. Once this task is finalised, I make sure I have recorded all of my time for the day before I head down to the local Cabana bar where I meet some colleagues for some well-earned end of week drinks.
